In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Advice and Guidance for the Mujahideen Know that jihad is the peak of the hump of Islam, and remember Allah much that you may succeed. First - Sincerity to Allah, Reliance, and Patience: Know, my brother mujahid, that you have not waged jihad by your own power nor your own strength; rather, it is Allah Who granted you success and chose you. You must adorn yourself with patience and remember what Allah has prepared for the mujahid and the martyr. Know that jihad will neither advance a lifespan nor delay it. So fight the enemy for the sake of aiding the religion of Allah and elevating His word, and if martyrdom is decreed for you, then it is good upon good. Second - Beware of Arrogance, Sins, Love of the World, and Chasing Its Fleeting Pleasures: Beware of arrogance, vanity, swaggering, and the love of showing off with bodyguards. Think well of your brothers and be a guide, a teacher, and an adviser. Avoid taking pictures, for we see many of the brothers photographing the mujahideen from behind, and when one is killed, his picture is published. These things are foreign to the Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah. Likewise, do not imitate the clothing of Al-Qaeda and the Kharijites and the face-veil, especially during rest time; as for war, advance, and retreat, there is no harm in veiling the face. Do not put their zawamil (chants) in video clips. Do not raise people's morale with false news, for lying is forbidden. Do not exaggerate in praising so-and-so unless you know that he will not be seduced by it. Third - Guarding Time: Do not waste your life with WhatsApp statuses and staying up late on the phone. Designate a portion of your free time for the Quran, and maintain all the supplications. Fourth - Leadership, Experience, Insight, and Keeping Secrets: The commander must be brave and possess wisdom, preserving his brothers to the best of his ability and not sacrificing them. You must have insight in discerning people, the brave, and the rumormongers. Guard the secrets of combat. You must have a guide from the people of the land you are fighting in. Fifth - Do Not Attack Without Heavy Preparation: O mujahid, do not advance and do not attack any hill or enemy position, even if the emir orders you, unless you begin striking the enemy with heavy weapons such as mortars, drones, and heavy machine guns, while you and those with you crawl toward the enemy position as the heavy fire strikes. With every group, there should be a sniper and an evacuation team to retrieve the wounded or the dead, and if this is at night, thermal snipers should be behind you. Sixth - Securing the Rear: Before advancing, secure your rears. Look at who your support is after every position you bring down and before bringing it down. Seventh - Beware of Mines and Flanking: Before the ramparts during the attack, all brothers must watch out for mines, and also at the ramparts. They try to flank the ramparts from the rear even if the enemy falls and flees from his position. If you see the enemy striking with heavy fire, know that he intends to flank you; so if you can lay an ambush for him before he flanks at the site or in the direction you most suspect he will come from, then do so. Eighth - Searching the Trenches: If the Houthi has trenches and has fled, after ensuring there are no mines, look to see if anyone is in the trenches, for there may be Rafida inside until nighttime and then they flee. We have seen this in past battles such as Al-Hazmiyah and others. Ninth - Dealing with Enemy Bombardment: If you see the enemy striking with heavy fire and you do not have anyone among your brothers responding to you and striking him with heavy fire equal to what he is striking you with to relieve the pressure, and you only have a machine gun, do not fire it excessively unless there are targets. Guard against mortars to the best of your ability, and lie in ambush for him in the place you suspect he will enter from, then surprise him. Tenth - Entering the Rampart: If you enter one of the ramparts while the enemy is still before you, take your precaution and do not raise your heads, as if you are in a new battle. Eleventh - Infiltration Method: Beware of infiltrating toward the enemy from the base of the mountains; rather, seize the mountains and positions that lie to the right and left of the elevated positions and towering mountains, or cut off his supply route. Twelfth - Choosing Companions: Enter with brave men who keep you firm and through whom you grow strong. Do not enter war with someone who has never fought before. Fear Allah regarding beginners in war and direct them toward other tasks such as evacuation or firing from a distance with heavy machine guns if they are skilled at it. Thirteenth - Preparing the Echelon: If the position falls, the echelon that will hold the positions you have seized must be ready. Fourteenth - Not Leaving the Wounded and Dead: Do not leave a wounded or killed brother of yours without taking him to a safe place so that the enemy does not capture him or withhold the slain brother from you. By this, the brothers grow strong, and then he understands that if he is wounded or killed, you will not leave him behind, so his valor against the enemy increases and he feels secure, and so you instill confidence in those who remain. Fifteenth - Guarding the Frontline and Concealment: If you are stationed on the frontline, do not expose yourself to the enemy such that he can kill or wound you. Let your resolve be to kill the enemy of Allah and inflict heavy casualties upon him. Sixteenth - Beware of Recklessness: Beware of enthusiasm that leads you and your brothers to ruin. Seventeenth - When You Are Flanked: If the enemy flanks you and you have no choice but withdrawal or fighting, if you and those with you are men of experience and courage and will inflict heavy harm upon him, then there is no harm; otherwise, withdrawal and preserving those who remain—if you know you will be harmed—is better. Eighteenth - The Ruling on Reinforcement Without Heavy Fire: If reinforcements reach you with men only after your position has fallen or after the enemy has flanked you, and there is no heavy fire, do not sacrifice your brothers and attack, especially if the enemy holds higher ground above you. As for if the enemy is in a position level with yours and the heavy fire has ceased, there is no harm in an assault by the reinforced men and slaying the enemy. In the end, nothing will remain except what was for Allah, so keep this before your eyes. We ask Allah to grant victory to our brothers and make their feet firm: And never will Allah give the disbelievers over the believers a way [to overcome them]. But we fear for ourselves from ourselves. Written by: Abu Sabir Al-Baydani

﷽
