════════════════ 🔴 "The Reason for the Name 'Rafida'"
• ════ •⊰❂⊱• ════ 🌿 Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allah have mercy on him, said in «Minhaj al-Sunnah» (2/96): «They were only named Rafida and became Rafida when Zayd ibn Ali ibn al-Husayn rose in revolt in Kufa during the caliphate of Hisham. The Shia asked him about Abu Bakr and Umar, so he invoked mercy upon them both. Thereupon, a group rejected him, so he said: 'You have rejected me, you have rejected me' (rafadtumuni), and thus they were called Rafida. Another group supported him and were named Zaidiyyah due to their affiliation with him. From that time on, the Shia split into Imami Rafida and Zaidiyyah, and whenever they increased in innovation, they increased in evil.» 📚 And he, may Allah have mercy on him, said as in «Majmu' al-Fatawa» (4/435): «And it was said: They were only called Rafida due to their rejection (rafd) of Abu Bakr and Umar.» 📝 The reason for the naming: The one who named them with this name was Zayd ibn Ali ibn al-Husayn ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, when they demanded that he disassociate himself from Abu Bakr and Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, and he refused.
📌 Hadiths mentioned regarding the Rafida:
This is what is well-known among the scholars regarding their naming. There have appeared marfu' hadiths mentioning the Rafida, such as the hadith:
«There will be after us a people who claim love for the Ahl al-Bayt; they have a moniker, they are called the Rafida. If you encounter them, fight them, for they are polytheists.»
However, they are weak, none of them are authentic. Ibn al-Jawzi cited some of them in «Al-Ilal al-Mutanahiyah» under numbers (254) to (258) and said: «This is not authentic from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.»
📖 Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said in «Minhaj al-Sunnah» (1/36):
«The term Rafida was not known at that time, and by this, the falsehood of the marfu' hadiths containing the word Rafida is known.»
📚 Imam al-Albani cited it in «Al-Silsilah al-Da'ifah» (5590) and said: «Fabricated.» ⏳ Thus it becomes clear from this that their naming as Rafida took place in the era of the Followers (Tabi'un). They used to be pained by this name and tried to get rid of it. In the book «To Allah Then to History» p. (19), it is recorded that they came to Ja'far ibn Muhammad al-Sadiq and said to him: «We have been branded with a moniker that has weighed heavily on our backs and caused our hearts to die, and the rulers have deemed our blood permissible on account of a hadith narrated to them by their jurists.» Ja'far said to them: «The Rafida?» They said: «Yes.» He said:
«No, by Allah, they did not name you that, but Allah named you with it.» 🔴 Naming the Rafida in the past and present:
This is their naming in the past and present, so we name them as such, just as the Salaf named them. We do not call them: (Houthis) nor (the Believing Youth)!! Nor (Ansar Allah)!! Nor (Hezbollah)!!
Rather, we call them the Rafida just as the Imams, may Allah have mercy on them, named them. ⚠️ Among the matters to be pointed out:
That the Rafida in the land of Yemen call themselves Zaidiyyah, in reference to Zayd ibn Ali. It has already been stated that Zayd ibn Ali did not agree with them on what they wanted; rather, he called them Rafida. Thus, their affiliation with him is a false affiliation that has no reality. The eminent scholar al-Wadi'i, may Allah have mercy on him, clarified that their doctrine which they attribute to Zayd ibn Ali cannot be authentically attributed to him, as in the audio cassette: (The Doctrine of the Zaidiyyah is Built upon Delusion) 📌 The Twelver Doctrine and the Zaidiyyah:
Even if we grant for the sake of argument the validity of their affiliation with Zayd ibn Ali, the Rafidi doctrine prevailing today in the world contradicts what the early Zaidis were upon, despite the many contradictions to the Sunnah that exist in the Zaidi doctrine. Therefore, when Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi brought the Twelver doctrine to Yemen, the scholars of the Zaidiyyah disassociated themselves from him and issued a statement stating: That Hussein al-Houthi is an aggressor against the Zaidi doctrine, and that they are innocent of him and his call. 📚 See the statement of the Zaidiyyah in the book «Al-Zahr wa al-Hajar». 🟢 Summary:
It is therefore clear from this that the doctrine which al-Houthi brought from Iran to Yemen is the Rafidi Twelver doctrine. 📌 The names of the Shia will be mentioned in a dedicated section, if Allah wills.

🔴 "سبب تسمية الرافضة"

🌿 قال شيخ الإسلام ابن تيمية رحمه الله في «منهاج السنة» (٩٦/٢)
«وَإِنَّمَا سُمُّوا رَافِضَةً وَصَارُوا رَافِضَةً لَمَّا خَرَجَ زَيْدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بِالْكُوفَةِ فِي خِلَافَةِ هِشَامٍ، فَسَأَلَتْهُ الشِّيعَةُ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ، فَتَرَحَّمَ عَلَيْهِمَا، فَرَفَضَهُ قَوْمٌ، فَقَالَ: رَفَضْتُمُونِي رَفَضْتُمُونِي فَسُمُّوا رَافِضَةً، وَتَوَلَّاهُ قَوْمٌ فَسُمُّوا زَيْدِيَّةً لِانْتِسَابِهِمْ إِلَيْهِ، وَمِنْ حِينَئِذٍ انْقَسَمَتِ الشِّيعَةُ إِلَى رَافِضَةٍ إِمَامِيَّةٍ وَزَيْدِيَّةٍ، وَكُلَّمَا زَادُوا فِي الْبِدْعَةِ زَادُوا فِي الشَّرِّ».
📚 وقال رحمه الله كما في «مجموع الفتاوى» (٤٣٥/٤):
«وقيل: إنما سُمُّوا رافضةً لرفضهم أبا بكر وعمر».
📝 سبب التسمية:
فكان الذي سماهم بهذا الاسم هو زيد بن علي بن الحسين بن علي بن أبي طالب رضي الله عنه عندما طلبوا منه أن يتبرأ من أبي بكر وعمر رضي الله عنهما فأبى.
📌 الأحاديث الواردة في ذكر الرافضة:
وهذا هو المشهور عند أهل العلم في تسميتهم بذلك، وقد ورد في أحاديث مرفوعة ذكر الرافضة، كحديث:
إنه سيكون بعدنا قوم ينتحلون حب أهل البيت، لهم نبز يقال لهم: الرافضة، فإن أدركتموهم فاقتلوهم؛ فإنهم مشركون».
ولكنها ضعيفة لا يصح منها شيء، فقد أورد بعضها ابن الجوزي في «العلل المتناهية» برقم (٢٥٤) إلى (٢٥٨) وقال: «هذا لا يصح عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم».
📖 وقال شيخ الإسلام ابن تيمية في «منهاج السنة» (٣٦/١)
فلم يكن لفظ الرافضة معروفاً إذ ذاك، وبهذا يُعرف كذب
الأحاديث المرفوعة التي فيها لفظ الرافضة»
📚 وأورده الإمام الألباني في «السلسلة الضعيفة» (٥٥٩٠) وقال:موضوع».
⏳ فتبين بهذا أن تسميتهم بالرافضة كان في زمن التابعين.
وقد كانوا يتأذون من هذا الاسم ويحاولون التخلص منه، ففي كتاب «لله ثم للتاريخ» ص(١٩) أنهم جاءوا إلى جعفر بن محمد الصادق فقالوا له:
«إنا قد نبزنا نبزًا أثقل ظهورنا وماتت له أفئدتنا، واستحلت له الولاة دماءنا في حديث رواه لهم فقهاؤهم».فقال لهم جعفر:الرافضة؟ قالوا: «نعم». فقال:
«لا والله ما هم سموكم، ولكن الله سماكم به».
🔴 تسمية الرافضة قديمًا وحديثًا
فهذه هي تسميتهم قديمًا وحديثًا، فنحن نسميهم كذلك كما سماهم السلف، ولا نسميهم:
(حوثيين) ولا (الشباب المؤمن)!!ولا (أنصار الله)!!ولا (حزب الله)!!
بل نسميهم الرافضة كما سماهم الأئمة رحمهم الله.
⚠️ ومما يُنبَّه عليه:
أن الرافضة في بلاد اليمن يسمون أنفسهم بالزيدية نسبةً إلى زيد بن علي، وقد تقدم أن زيد بن علي لم يوافقهم على ما أرادوا، بل سماهم رافضة.
فانتسابهم إليه انتساب باطل لا حقيقة له، وقد بيّن العلامة الوادعي رحمه الله أن مذهبهم الذي ينسبونه إلى زيد بن علي لا تصح نسبته إليه، كما في شريط:
(مذهب الزيدية مبني على الهيام)
📌 المذهب الاثنا عشري والزيدية
ولو سلمنا جدلًا بصحة انتسابهم إلى زيد بن علي فإن المذهب الرافضي السائد الآن في العالم يخالف ما عليه الزيدية القدماء، على ما في مذهب الزيدية من المخالفات الكثيرة للسنة؛ لذا لما جاء حسين بدر الدين الحوثي بالمذهب الاثني عشري إلى اليمن تبرأ منه علماء الزيدية وأصدروا بياناً فيه:
أن حسيناً الحوثي معتدٍ على المذهب الزيدي، وأنهم بريئون منه ومن دعوته.

🟢 الخلاصة
فتبين بهذا أن المذهب الذي جاء به الحوثي من إيران إلى اليمن هو المذهب الرافضي الاثنا عشري
