The Armed Forces tighten their cordon around Harib district in Marib and recapture the last Houthi strongholds in it Within the framework of the ongoing military operations under Operation Dawn of Yemen to secure the southeast of Marib Governorate, government forces represented by "Saba Axis" units, backed by tribesmen, achieved an important field milestone today, Monday, by regaining full control over the last two areas in the Harib Bayhan district, following fierce battles that resulted in inflicting human and material losses on the terrorist Houthi militia. Field sources reported that Saba Axis units, backed by tribesmen, were able to liberate the strategic areas of "Zajjar" and "Al-Hajla", which are located on the vital supply line connecting Harib district with Al-Abdiyah district, confirming dead and wounded among the militia's ranks during the clashes. In this context, the sources pointed out that the military advance faces field challenges represented by the massive density of mines and improvised explosive devices of various shapes and types planted randomly by the Houthi militia, which pose a direct threat to the safety of advancing forces and civilians alike. Accordingly, field commanders issued an urgent appeal to the competent authorities and military engineering teams, demanding the swift dispatch of specialized teams for mine-clearing and disposal operations, to ensure the full security of all liberated areas and pave the way for the forces to continue their field missions. It is noteworthy that the Giants Brigades and the Saba Axis, with effective support from the sons of the tribes, had succeeded in liberating Harib district and its center in January 2022, and these latest developments come to cement control over the entire geography of the district.
