Active movement of smuggling boats and arms shipments from the Horn of Africa to the West Coast of Yemen *Simultaneous warnings were issued regarding shipments of weapons, military equipment, and technologies arriving successively to the terrorist Houthi militias via the southern coasts of the Red Sea coming from the Horn of Africa, in addition to movements carried out by Iranian experts on the West Coast of Yemen to install and deploy radars, surveillance devices, and jamming equipment on heights in the vicinity of Mokha and Bab al-Mandab.* Violent battles in which warplanes and drones take part are raging on the eastern and southern heights of Bab al-Mandab in Al-Wazi'iyah and Kahbub in Taiz and Lahj, where the Iranian-backed Houthi militias seek to seize strategic heights with the aim of isolating the Red Sea coast from the areas under legitimate government control, but they are met with fierce repulsion and confrontations. Maritime and intelligence sources spoke of active movement of medium-sized and smaller boats between the coasts of the Horn of Africa and the West Coast of Yemen in the southern Red Sea and Hodeidah following the Houthi militias' takeover of Mokha and Bab al-Mandab on September 10. West Coast sources said that shipments of weapons, personnel, and other unidentified cargoes on board boats are moving from coasts and ports in the Horn of Africa to the western coasts of Yemen after the Houthi militias seized Al-Khawkhah, Mokha, and Dhubab. Agence France-Presse quoted two Houthi military sources as saying that experts from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard visited the Bab al-Mandab area to study the installation of radars near it and oversee tunnel excavation works in the mountainous hills overlooking it. West Coast intelligence and security sources pointed to the synchronization of the arrival of Iranian experts alongside Houthi operatives in Mokha and Bab al-Mandab with boats arriving from the Horn of Africa coasts offloading their cargoes in nearby areas on the coasts of Dhubab and Mokha. They said, "Boats laden with shipments and personnel coming from Djibouti and the Somali coasts offloaded their cargo in coastal areas between Mokha and Dhubab, and others were sighted on the coast north of Al-Khawkhah, while a third group continued sailing to Hodeidah." Agence France-Presse had previously reported from two sources that the Iranian experts working with the Houthis visited the Bab al-Mandab area, the port and airport of Mokha, and the Jabal al-Nar camp east of Mokha. They added that the experts oversaw tunnel excavation works in the mountainous hills overlooking Mokha and Bab al-Mandab and discussed the process of installing radars near Mokha and inside Zuqar Island in the southern Red Sea. The two sources indicated that the experts came from Hodeidah and conducted separate visits between Thursday and Friday.
