A very important military warning and circular to the mujahideen The mobile phone on the front lines is a weapon against you, not for you, and electronic silence is half the victory A real-life story *Our stationed brother Salim Yaslam al-Subaihi recounts a real experience he personally went through on the Bab al-Mandab front, to serve as a lesson and living testimony for anyone who underestimates having a phone in his pocket during duty on the front lines I had my phone with me while I was at the combat positions in Bab al-Mandab, and the phone was inside my pocket with its screen off, but the device was powered on and not completely turned off. That caught the attention of my comrade, who was conducting reconnaissance using night-vision binoculars. He said to me: What is that in your pocket blinking and emitting flashes? I told him: There is nothing except my phone. He said to me: Turn off your phone immediately, it is glowing in the night-vision binoculars. I did not believe his words at first, until I took the night-vision binoculars myself and gave him the phone to hold. I looked through the binoculars and was shocked by what I saw: the phone, while inside the pocket and with its screen off, appeared clearly through the night-vision binoculars, emitting flashes like a guide beacon for the enemy. Technical and military clarification and alert*
*Modern phones contain sensors and infrared beams that operate continuously even if the screen is off. These rays are invisible to the naked eye, but they appear with complete clarity and are exposed through the enemy's night-vision and thermal imaging optics, making the stationed fighter's position an exposed and easy target for detection and shelling.*
Advice and duty incumbent upon every stationed fighter
*Do not let your phone be the cause of exposing your position or harming your stationed brothers with you. When present at the lines of contact and on the front lines, completely and totally power off your mobile phone; do not merely settle for turning off the screen or enabling airplane mode, as rays and sensors may still operate. Be keen on safety and take all precautions and measures of vigilance. A call for awareness and dissemination so that it reaches all the heroes and stationed fighters on the fronts Your brother: Salim Yaslam al-Subaihi*
