كشفت مصادر خاصة في العاصمة صنعاء عن تفاصيل هجوم قالت إنه نُفذ فجر الجمعة بصورة متزامنة من الجو والأرض، واستهدف منشآت عسكرية وأمنية تابعة لمليشيا الحوثي في مناطق متفرقة من المدينة.
وبحسب مصادر إعلامية فإن الشق الجوي من العملية نُفذ باستخدام عدد من الطائرات المسيرة الهجومية، واستهدف مخازن أسلحة ومراكز للقيادة والسيطرة.
ووفقا للمصادر، تزامنت الهجمات الجوية مع عمليات برية استخدمت فيها دراجات نارية مفخخة لاستهداف مواقع تابعة للجماعة، بينها مقر في حي الجراف شمالي صنعاء، إلى جانب منشآت قالت المصادر إنها تستخدم مقار سرية وملاجئ محصنة لقيادات.
وأضافت المصادر أن نطاق الهجمات امتد من منطقة بيت بوس جنوبي صنعاء إلى حي الجراف والنطاق الأمني المحيط بمطار صنعاء شمالي المدينة، وتركز على منشآت مرتبطة بقيادة العمليات وإدارة التحركات العسكرية وتخزين الأسلحة.
